We were briefed to design a fresh visual identity for a brand new coffee shop in the heart of London.

Boki specialises in coffee-infused drinks, brunch, dinner and ‘carefully curated’ alcoholic beverages. The brief was to design a visual identity that was adaptable and representative of the high-quality service and products on offer in a highly competitive market.

A key element to this visual identity project was to enable the company owners to have ownership of the brand; future-proofing the appliaction of the designs by providing them with easy-to-use templates and brand guidelines.

One of the owners is a keen illustrator so we provided template files for him to apply a personal touch and bespoke look and feel to shop signage and menu design.

The brand needed to be diverse so it could be used across a variety of different platforms, from window signage to coffee cups and menus, ensuring that its integrity remained uncompromised.

By using a combination of branding and information design principles we delivered an identity that engaged the target audience but also retained the artisan and personal product approach.

“TDL have the ability to translate intricately complicated messages into simple and effective stories for an array of different audiences. They take time to delve into the detail and emerge with clear, concise and impactful visuals which grab people's attention.”
