Highlights this month included:

  • Tomoko started working with us. She finished the MA Information Design course at the University of Reading with flying colours, winning the university’s ‘Outstanding Taught Postgraduate Student’ award. She had just finished a placement at the wayfinding agency Applied, so we’re looking forward to testing out her map designing capabilities!
  • We won a best in show award for our ‘keeping warm in winter’ leaflet for the charity CARE. Oliver, Dave and Kim were really happy as there was some strong competition from the information design community around the world. More info on the designs on our blog, and the award on the IIID website.
  • Oliver gave his first lecture on organisation charts at the University of Reading – a summary of org chart history and their design will be published on our ISSUU site soon.
  • A bid we’ve been working on for a long time with the Ferrovial and Laing O’Rourke joint venture, resulted in a win for their team. We created hundreds of bid graphics and method statements for this tender worth up to £900 million – The Thames Tideway London super sewer.
  • Vicki has been sifting through the 63 job applications for her Office Manager role – we shall be interviewing this week. All this while Craig celebrates 6 months with us already – time flies when you work on bids!
