Richard joined TDL as a graduate from Birmingham City University. He’s come along way having first been rejected at BCU to achieving a First-Class Honours degree in Graphic Communication. Highly ambitious, dedicated and a goal-setter; he believes that design is as much about the way it works as it is about the way it looks whilst always working with clients rather than for them.
He approaches work in a meticulous and calculated manner ensuring that, from inception to delivery, each stage of the design process meets and exceeds expectations. Richard has a high affinity for visual identities, developing brand guidelines, brand strategy and typography taking great pride in seeing the benefits this can give a client project.
Richard is great at giving rationale to each design decision and how each decision can benefit the end user. He relishes the opportunity to carry out research, learning about new industries, competitors and above all what the client’s needs are. His strategic thinking lends itself to information design developing visuals that are always user-centric. His skills have earned him two B-Hive Awards for Digital Design and Graphic Design as well as two Jude Awards for Graphic Communication and Branding. His work was also exhibited at the 2016 D&AD New Blood Awards. Highly passionate, adaptable and a lovely person to work with.
