Explaining how Syrian refugees can help themselves to stay warm during Winter. This leaflet shows how a living space can be prepared for winter for maximum heat retention.
Sector: Social Work
We designed this leaflet for the charity CARE International, and delivered it within a week of the brief so it could be used on the field in Syria.
The purpose was to inform refugees on how to stay warm during winter, pictorially and bilingually.
In that week we developed concepts for user testing, arranged translations, and created sympathetic but impactuful illustrations. All under the constraints of on-site printing at the refugee camps.
In 2014 this project was awarded a Grand Prix overall winner by the International Institution of Information Design (IIID), the jury said:
Simplicity and elegance abound in this project. The practical applications and user interface are remarkably well-done. This submission demonstrates how information design solves problems and alleviates stress.
