114 pages of user guidelines to assist CARE International staff with considering, designing for, and monitoring gender issues in humanitarian programmes.

Sector: Social Work

Category: Document Design

CARE International is committed to supporting gender equality both when responding to emergency situations and when conducting development projects. This guide was been produced for staff working in the field to help them identify and address existing and potential inequities, barriers, and challenges that cause women and girls to be disproportionately affected in humanitarian crises.

Being more of a reference guide, the user is unlikely to read the document from beginning to end, so the document needed to be quickly scanned for relevant information. Case study boxes, callout boxes, narrow columns, tabs, diagrams, and photos combine to create a document that is easily read and navigated.
